The activist group wants to demonstrate again on the A12 ring road near Utrecht, but the municipality is not allowing this. "Entering and blocking a highway is prohibited and punishable," states the website.

A similar ban applied during an earlier action in late April.
The municipality of Utrecht warns of "possible traffic disruption" on Saturday on the A12 and other roads in and around the city. Extinction Rebellion (XR) has announced a protest action on the highway for that day.
