Utah State Scores 14 Unanswered Points After Halftime to Beat Washington State 17-16

On Friday night in Logan, the Utah State Aggies rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to defeat the Washington State Cougars 17-16, securing their first Pac-12 Conference win. Quarterback Grady Brosterhous threw for 150 yards and one touchdown.
Linebacker Asher Cunningham anchored the defense, forcing two pivotal second-half turnovers that sparked the rally. The junior finished with a career-high 17 tackles, enabling Utah State to score 14 unanswered points.
Receiver Eli Wood narrowed the gap with a 27-yard one-handed touchdown grab midway through the third quarter, while running back Javen Jacobs added the winning 2-yard touchdown run. The Aggies capitalized on two second-half fumbles by the Cougars.
The victory improves Utah State to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in the Pac-12, while Washington State Cougars fall to 1-5 overall and remain winless in conference play at 0-2. The loss marks the Cougars' third straight defeat.
Utah State enters a bye week before returning to action Oct. 24 at Texas State, while Washington State travels to face Oregon State on Oct. 17.
