- Antonio Alcalá, USPS art director, designed the Phillis Wheatley stamp using an existing Kerry James Marshall portrait; it will be issued as a Forever stamp in panes of 20 with a free first-day ceremony Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026 at 11 a.m.
