DES MOINES, Iowa (KWWL) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture is awarding more than $2.8 million in grants to four projects aimed at improving infrastructure in two rural Iowa communities recovering from tornado disasters.
USDA Rural Development awards more than $2.8M for Iowa tornado recovery projects
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development division is awarding more than $2.8 million in grants for four disaster recovery projects in Minden and Greenfield after tornadoes struck the Iowa communities in 2024. Minden will receive $1.84 million to construct a new water treatment facility to replace the plant destroyed by an April 2024 tornado.…
