US Senate fundraising committee leaves Mississippi, Colom out of $40-million push

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the fundraising arm for U.S. Senate Democrats, left Mississippi out of a recent $40-million investment in 10 battleground states ahead of the November midterm election.  The fundraising group is sending money to Alaska, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Ohio and Texas, according to a July 28 news release.  The money is being used in part to fund state-run outreac…
