US military says it boarded cargo ship suspected of heading to Iran during blockade but released it
CENTCOM said Marines searched the ship and released it after confirming it was not headed to an Iranian port.

- Measuring 215 TEU with a 4,259 dwt rating, the stateless Blue Star III is the fourth merchant ship boarded since the Donald Trump administration began the blockade two weeks ago.
- U.S. Central Command spokesman Tim Hawkins said the boarding "demonstrates our thorough enforcement of the blockade," while the military declared goods "susceptible to use in armed conflict" are subject to capture beyond neutral territory.
- Authorities reported 39 vessels redirected to ensure compliance with the blockade, up from 34 last week, while Windward AI reported Monday that six VLCCs and one Suezmax remain near Chabahar outside the blockade zone.
