The U.S. House of Representatives today passed a compromise version of the National Defense Authorization Act, which includes $1 billion in funding for the Taiwan Security Cooperation Initiative; authorizes the U.S. military to continue training Taiwan to counter Chinese incursions; and establishes a joint U.S.-Taiwan unmanned systems program. The bill will now be sent to the Senate for a vote.
