Monday morning, a man was struck by a fireball at the Scotia power plant when trying to clean out a piece of equipment, and dove off a catwalk to escape the flames. The man suffered first and second degree burns to his face and limbs, plus injuries as a result of the fall. He was transported to a local emergency room.
