A fire near Maitland destroyed a poultry shed housing up to 20,000 chickens. Cause does not appear to be suspicious, RFS says.

Shed containing 20,000 chickens engulfed in flames

Authorities are investigating a large blaze on a Hunter free-range farm, that tore through a shed housing up to 20,000 chickens. Firefighters worked for hours to contain the flames, which broke out late yesterday – and were still on scene today.
