'Do Not Eat' Recall Issued for Pot Noodle Flavour Sold at Tesco, Asda and Iceland
The company said other Pot Noodle batches are not affected, and the FSA told customers with a milk allergy to return the product for a refund.
Unilever recalled Pot Noodle Piri Piri Chicken Flavour on Friday because the product contains undeclared milk, posing a potential health risk for consumers with milk allergies or intolerance.
Although the packaging lists milk as a 'may contain' ingredient, the specific batch contains undeclared milk, triggering the Food Standards Agency to issue an Allergy Alert.
Affected items are 90g and feature batch code L6232PB796 with a best before date of May 2027; consumers can purchase this flavour at Tesco, Asda, and Iceland.
The Food Standards Agency urges customers to return the item for a refund, adding 'do not eat it' if you have a milk allergy; Unilever's Consumer Careline is available at 0800 146 252.
Unilever confirmed other Pot Noodle products remain unaffected by the recall, stating, 'We are sorry for any inconvenience and concern' regarding the incident.
