The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, stressed that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) was indispensable and irreplaceable, calling on Member States to provide political and financial support to the Agency and to protect its mandate and role in the service of the Palestine refugees.
Foreign Minister Sugiono emphasized that UNRWA must fully and effectively fulfill its mandate for Palestinian refugees.
Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono stressed that the United Nations Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) should be able to carry out its mandate fully and effectively. The Foreign Minister said UNRWA is currently facing increasing political and financial pressure. Therefore, according to him, UNRWA personnel and facilities should be protected.
