A social media graphic claims that the coronation of the new King of Tooro, Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I, has been postponed following an "order from above" directing that all preparations be halted.
Following the death of Oyo, Uganda's "child king" for 31 years, the royal palace was thrown into turmoil. Amidst claims of a mysterious heir and objections from the queen mother, the clan council convened and elected Prince Kijanangoma, a 21-year veteran television presenter and journalist, as the new ruler of the Tooro Kingdom.
