Two more people arrested on suspicion of murder after 14-year-old boy shot dead in London
Police said the 16-year-old boy and 19-year-old man remain in custody as detectives continue inquiries into Eghosa Ogbebor’s fatal shooting.
- On Thursday, April 2, 14-year-old Eghosa Ogbebor was fatally shot on Lord Warwick Street in Woolwich at 15:40 BST. Emergency services arrived but pronounced him dead at the scene.
- Following the shooting, police arrested three suspects on Friday: two boys aged 14 and 16, and an 18-year-old man. All three were subsequently released on bail while inquiries continue.
- Officers made further arrests on Saturday when a 16-year-old boy and 19-year-old man were detained on suspicion of murder. A 46-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
- Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card, leading the investigation, said: "Our team of dedicated detectives are continuing inquiries to investigate Eghosa's tragic death." Card urged witnesses to assist police.
