Man, Woman Charged in Connection with Kidnapping in Bible Hill, N.S.
RCMP say the victim had a gunshot wound and was treated for minor injuries as investigators searched with air services and emergency teams.
Nova Scotia RCMP charged two people with an alleged kidnapping after a man was abducted Wednesday morning from a home in Bible Hill. The suspects and the victim knew each other.
While searching for a silver Hyundai Elantra, Police noticed a motorcycle at the home where the man had been taken. Truro police stopped the vehicle on Park Street and found the victim riding as a passenger.
The emergency response team arrested two suspects on Main Street just before 1 p.m. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries, though Investigators cannot determine the circumstances surrounding his apparent gunshot wound.
One suspect remains in Police custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Truro on Monday. The other was released and will return to court Aug. 19 to face kidnapping charges.
The male suspect faces additional charges for violating probation and driving while prohibited. The RCMP investigation continues as evidence is processed from the Bible Hill incident.
