- Court documents reveal the mother left her daughter alone briefly with Pierce, found him on top of the girl partially undressing her, and saw he held a gun before she shot him.
- Pierce is currently hospitalized and faces multiple allegations, such as trying to commit rape and child molestation, illegal possession of a firearm as a serious violent felon, and holding a victim under the age of 14 against their will.
- It remains unclear if the mother will face charges for the shooting, and a warrant has been issued for Pierce's arrest pending further investigation.
