In an interview with foreign media on the 13th, Wu Chengwen, chairman of the National Science Council, pointed out that TSMC has built its first wafer fab in Dresden, Germany, and revealed that TSMC plans to set up more wafer fabs in Europe, with a focus on the artificial intelligence (AI) chip market. TSMC responded that it is still focusing on its current global expansion projects and has no new investment plans.
