- Brazilian exports to the United States fell roughly 18.7 percent in the first quarter, with tariffs on dozens of product categories remaining up to 40 percent despite recent Supreme Court rulings.
- Washington may classify the Primeiro Comando and the Comando Vermelho as foreign terrorist organizations, a prospect that Bras fears could expose Brazilian banks to secondary sanctions and complicate police cooperation.
- Markets view the summit as the cleanest catalyst for Brazil's external risk premium since November 2025 tariff de-escalation; success could compress credit spreads while a public clash could reverse recent gains.
