US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday the death of Private Sarah Beckstrom, 20, of the West Virginia National Guard, from injuries sustained in a shooting two days earlier near the White House, while Private Andrew Wolf, 24, remains in critical condition.
It is "Sarah Beckstrom, a young, beautiful and highly respected person who began his service in June 2023," said the president. The other wounded soldier "is struggling for his life"
