In an interview with the American right-wing channel Fox News, Donald Trump stated that Russia would retain some Ukrainian territory. "Well, he'll take something. They fought and now they have a lot of property," he said of Vladimir Putin. He confirmed that he believes the Russian president is open to ending the war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyy accuses Russia of continuing to hesitate to end the war. According to a media report, talks are ongoing between Trump and Putin on territorial assignments in Ukraine.
The US president said in an interview that Russia would retain "some assets" captured in Ukraine, noting that Russia captured them in combat.
Donald Tusk commented on Donald Trump's words and speculation about territories Russia would like to seize from Ukraine. "None of us should pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to make territorial concessions," the Polish Prime Minister emphasized.
