The controversial truck toll on state roads in Burgenland has been cancelled: Head of State Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ) and Economic Chamber President Andreas Wirth agreed today on a package of measures to redirect heavy traffic to high-ranking roads.
The Land and Chamber of Commerce agree on a new solution: transit traffic is to disappear from national and municipal roads and be directed towards three corridors.
