Tree planting effort growing towards goal

The quest to plant 30,000 trees in Congleton by the end of next year is continuing apace. Some 80m of mixed species hedgerow (hawthorn, beech and holly) together with 11 fruit trees have recently been planted by 22 volunteers, including six children, at Hawthorne Close and Chestnut Drive green spaces.
