Deutsche Bahn plans to buy more than 3,000 buses in the next few years - most of them from the Munich-based manufacturer MAN.
MAN speaks of the largest bus order in the company's history - for both sides. With Deutsche Bahn, the Munich-based vehicle manufacturer concludes a framework contract, which is intended to make an important contribution to the sustainable transformation of public transport.
DB Regio plans to invest more than one billion euros in coaches for cross-country transport. Most of them are manufactured by the German company MAN, but some of them come from the Chinese auto giant BYD.
Among other things, the truck and bus manufacturer is to supply many electric buses. The company speaks of a historic contract.
