After the avalanche situation had relaxed, the salvage of the derailed BLS train could begin.
The Bernese railway company BLS has begun to salvage the train between Goppenstein and Hohtenn VS, which is running on Monday after an avalanche exit. The line is scheduled to be single-tracked again from Monday morning, as the BLS announced on Friday.
The trains will run again between Kandersteg (BE) and Brig via Goppenstein (VS) as early as Monday morning. BLS was able to start site remediation operations where a train derailed on Monday, causing significant disruptions.
