Eastbound lanes of HRBT reopen after road work

The eastbound lanes of the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel are temporarily closed, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. Shortly after 1 p.m., VDOT said unplanned road work was being done on the Willoughby Bay Bridge. Eastbound traffic is being diverted at Settlers Landing Road in Hampton. The traffic diversion will remain in place until crews are able to remove an overhead sign structure, according to VDOT.
