Toys ‘R’ Us Canada to Stop Accepting Gift Cards After Monday
Toys "R" Us Canada owes over $36 million in gift card liabilities and may close more stores amid creditor protection restructuring.
On Feb. 16, 2026, Toys "R" Us Canada warned customers that today is their last day to use gift cards, and it will stop accepting them after Monday.
Under the retailer's creditor-protection filing, Toys "R" Us Canada was permitted by a judge to cease accepting gift cards after a 14-day period that wraps Monday.
