Town of Wayne swears in new police chief, ending department freeze

WAYNE — The Town of Wayne has a new police chief following a brief freeze on the department enacted by new Mayor James Jr. Ramey III. Michael Cass McMillian was sworn in as chief by Ramey on Monday, July 13, at Wayne Town Hall. He was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Kimberley McMillian, who held the Bible as he was sworn in and his son, Michael Cass McMillian II, who presented him with his chief shield.
