A new measure involving at least 60 countries, including those in the EU, was aimed in particular at combating the crime associated with extended stays.

The Thai Tourism Authority (TAT) announced the new visa exemption categories of 30 and 15 days, together with the updated visa eligibility criteria that come into force on September 15th. On the same date, the current 60-day visa exemption measure ends.
