Tottenham Receive Major Boost as Leeds Target Chooses Spurs Move
Tottenham has initiated a late loan enquiry for Chelsea forward Mykhaylo Mudryk ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline, with Spurs head coach Roberto De Zerbi keen to reunite with the winger in north London.
Chelsea's hierarchy has decided to allow Mudryk to seek opportunities elsewhere, as manager Xabi Alonso cannot guarantee the winger regular first-team football. The 25-year-old has not featured in any of the Blues' three opening matches.
De Zerbi previously managed Mudryk at Shakhtar Donetsk, and the forward is reportedly open to the move due to their personal connection. Mudryk said he is "grateful" to return to playing.
Having recently returned to competition after resolving a doping ban, Mudryk has managed 10 goals and 11 assists for the Blues since his £61m move from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023.
Spurs have also been linked with forwards Cody Gakpo and Iliman Ndiaye in recent weeks. The club is determined to strengthen on the left wing before the Tuesday transfer deadline.
