Paris bridge becomes giant ‘cave’
The French artist JR, known for his playful and often large-scale installations, is unveiling one of his biggest projects to date: ‘Wrapping’ Pont Neuf, the oldest standing bridge over the Seine in Paris, in a tribute to a famous art project by Christo and Jeanne-Claude. The temporary installation designed by the artist JR, was damaged Tuesday afternoon on the Pont Neuf in Paris. The opening to the public is therefore postponed to a later date The "Caverne" which packs the
JR's work on Pont Neuf was to be open to the public on June 6. Experts must determine the precise causes of these degradations.
