Cash machine raid arrests after £300k stolen
Three suspects face charges including conspiracy to burgle after 27 cash machine raids stole over £300,000 across multiple UK regions, police said.
On Saturday, December 20, 2025, David Price, aged 43, of Blakenhall; Adam Walker, aged 38, of Moseley; and Joanne McGregor, aged 40, of Wednesfield were charged and due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court, facing conspiracy and possession charges.
Operation Target, launched in February 2025, began after burglaries hit West Midlands, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, West Mercia Police area and Wales, with 27 cash machines targeted and 14 raids successful.
West Midlands Police said specialist equipment enabled break-ins, and a cash box was stolen from a Santander branch on Stourbridge High Street on June 25, 2025.
A coordinated early-morning raid on December 18, 2025, led to five people arrested, three charged, and two other individuals released on bail as inquiries continue.
For communities across the Midlands and Wales, the case highlights security vulnerabilities as Operation Target remains active and police urge members of the public to report suspicious activity.
