One of the busiest weekends of the season is ahead of us. Due to the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the resulting extended weekend, our highways have been crowded since morning. In addition, the heat is not letting up, which means that believers who will go to pilgrimage centers on the church holiday will also feel it strongly. Temperatures will well exceed 30 degrees Celsius in the middle of the day and in the afternoon.


Like every 15 August, thousands of pilgrims are expected in Lourdes to celebrate one of the most important Marian celebrations on the Catholic calendar.
Seven thousand pilgrims are welcomed from 11 to 16 August in Lourdes for the 152nd National Pilgrimage of the Assumption.
