Rob Gale had few complaints about the way his Portland Thorns played on Saturday in a 2-1 road loss to the Washington Spirit. His team (8-8-4) had already played a game earlier in the week, flew across the country and had limited practice time with a roster still gelling with a mixture of Olympic returnees and new additions.
