Tuchel: 'Madness' to Rest Key England Players
Tuchel said players who skip international matches risk losing their place as England prepare for four Nations League games.
On Monday, England manager Thomas Tuchel declared that players cannot 'pick and choose' fixtures, dismissing calls from Premier League managers to rest key players as "madness."
England currently faces four Nations League matches in 11 days, following Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Spain at Wembley Stadium before upcoming games against the Czech Republic and Croatia.
Tuchel refuses to take calls from Premier League managers, citing his experience as a former club coach and insisting that players missing international camps diminish their chances of returning.
Chelsea star Cole Palmer missed the current squad after being left out of the World Cup roster, with Tuchel stating, "For sure it's a missed opportunity."
Preparing for Tuesday's match at the Fortuna Arena in Prague, Tuchel intends to field his strongest lineup, stating, "We need to be proactive" to win matches.
England players and their clubs should not have the right to choose which games they play during the international break, coach Thomas Tuchel has said.
