Thomas, Broberg lead Blues to 4-1 win over Bruins
Robert Thomas and Philip Broberg each had a goal and two assists as St. Louis scored twice on the power play.
On Thursday, the St. Louis Blues defeated the Boston Bruins 4-1 at Enterprise Center, snapping a six-game home losing streak against Boston dating back to June 3, 2019.
James Hagens opened scoring for Boston at 5:28, but St. Louis answered with four unanswered goals from Jimmy Snuggerud, Philip Broberg, Robert Thomas, and Jake Neighbours.
St. Louis goaltender Joel Hofer recorded 31 saves on 32 shots, while Boston goaltender Jeremy Swayman stopped 14 of 18 attempts in the loss.
"We got outworked in every area of the game," Boston coach Marco Sturm told NESN, calling the performance "unacceptable" after the team's second consecutive road loss.
The Bruins return to host the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday, while the Blues travel to Detroit to play the Red Wings on the same day.
