In several schools in Tata, discrepancies were found, so the quality of drinking water in Tata is being further investigated and students are provided with water in a different way.
Drinking water from Tata is not recommended in several local institutions after water quality tests revealed contaminants above the limit. The Tatabánya Water District Center took immediate action and provided bottled water to the affected schools. In order to resolve the situation, the water network will be flushed and further inspections will be carried out on Monday.
The Tata municipality is launching new water tests after several city institutions were found to have levels above the limit. The tests will be extended to all municipally-run institutions, and special inspections will be carried out in schools in cooperation with the school district.
