Women’s National Basketball Players Association executive director Terri Jackson said Thursday the union is committed to negotiating “for as long as it takes” on a new collective bargaining agreement and didn't rule out a potential work stoppage.
The Union Tranviarios Automotor (UTA) confirmed this Wednesday that, on Tuesday, May 6, there will be a stoppage of collectives that will last 24 hours and that will affect, a priori, 300 lines that circulate in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA). After a virtual meeting, the union denounced that the business sector had a "provocative" attitude and that "once again" presented itself without "no serious wage proposal".
The provision will affect thousands of users of the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) if a solution is not reached before the beginning of next week.
The union warned that it will deploy a measure of strength in the coming days, as it will not achieve a new wage increase during the joint meetings. On Wednesday, there is one more instance to define if there will be a stoppage next week.
