After two weeks of protests by the people of Split, the Croatian government has decided that the decommissioned Italian ferry Moby Drea, which was brought to the Split shipyard to have several hundred tons of asbestos panels removed, must leave the port and Croatian waters.

A twist in Split, where the decommissioned Italian ferry Moby Drea was brought by tugboat and from which they planned to remove partition panels containing several hundred tons of asbestos. The Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure has now decided that the ferry must leave the shipyard and Croatian territorial waters within seven days. The arrival of the ferry was also opposed by some Split residents.
