The Kaunas Regional Prosecutor's Office has appealed the verdict handed down to Kaišiadorys Mayor Šarūnas Čėsna in the "cheque" case - it is not satisfied with the sentence imposed for embezzlement of municipal property. The prosecutor's office also believes that the mayor, who was found guilty, should not work in the civil service for some time - the first instance court did not deprive the politician of this right.
