Due to the severe drought, the Danube's negative water level record has been broken near Budapest, where the river is only 30 centimeters high. Taking advantage of the extreme drought, the president of the Hungarian Cycling Club cycled along the dried-up riverbed from the capital to Vác, while water shortages are critical in most parts of the country.
