The oldest building in the city, 76 Lansing Street, has been restored.

According to Mayor Huang Min-hui, this year is 320 years since Chiayi City was built, and this small, beautiful and sophisticated city has rich cultural assets, especially with the relatively high density of historical monuments and historic buildings in the old city area, including the National Historic Site of Chiayi City Goddess Temple, historical buildings Red Maui, East Gate Police Station, and 100 Years East Market.
