Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Music Festival Announces Initial 2026 Lineup
The free three-day festival will add more performers later and includes a Steve Earle tribute plus Out of the Park concerts across Bay Area venues.
- On Wednesday, organizers of the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival unveiled the initial lineup for the 26th annual event, returning to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park from October 2 to October 4.
- Executive producer Sheri Sternberg announced a benefit concert honoring Steve Earle, stating, "We can think of no better way to bookend our silver anniversary than celebrating 25 years of Steve Earle."
- Musical director Buddy Miller will lead the tribute, while the festival's initial roster includes My Morning Jacket, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Molly Tuttle, with more artists arriving in the coming weeks.
- Proceeds from the October 1 event at The Masonic will benefit Sweetwater Spectrum, a nonprofit supporting adults with autism and similar disabilities, as the festival expands its "Out of the Park" concert series across the Bay Area.
- Limited tickets went on sale Wednesday, with additional programming and guests to be announced on September 2 as organizers prepare for the free three-day festival.
