Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced on Sunday, March 9, that Ukraine has signed a memorandum of understanding with German defense company Diehl Defence, the manufacturer of the IRIS-T air defense system. The agreement is expected to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities by expanding cooperation and increasing the supply of air defense missiles and systems.
The signed agreement opens the way for major industrial projects that will strengthen air defense capabilities.
