The Legislative Assembly of Kansas passed a Resolution on the 45th Anniversary of the Law on Taiwan Relations.

In addition to reaffirming Taiwan as a mature democracy with a stable free market economy, and affirming that Taiwan is an indispensable partner of the United States in the Indian region, the resolution promoted the signing of bilateral trade agreements (BTAs) and avoidance of double taxation (ADTAs) between Taiwan and the United States, and the development of closer trade partnerships.
