The city of Lille pays a moving tribute to Line Renaud by giving its name to a garden of Old Lille, where the legend of the French show began.
IN IMAGES - If she has already plethora of streets, passages and squares in her name, Line Renaud did not hide her emotion of seeing a Lille garden, a city where everything started for her, renamed to her honor, this Wednesday. "I will never forget this moment," she slipped with wet eyes.
The native of Armentières, whose career started in Lille when she was 16 years old, was honoured Wednesday afternoon. Very moved, Line Renaud, 97, inaugurated a park that will now bear her name, in tribute to her immense career as a singer and actress, but also of the engaged women.
