The Hungarian men's handball team defeated Serbia 31-30 in Veszprém in the second leg of the World Championship qualifiers, but our southern neighbors won the match by one goal on aggregate and earned the right to participate in the tournament in Germany next January. The Hungarians can still hope for a wild card, and they can qualify for the 2028 Los Angeles Games from the next European Championship.
