- Standing 180 feet tall with a viewing terrace 49 feet above ground, the statue was blessed on Saturday as Bishop Krzysztof presided, stating, "The place where we stand is no ordinary place; it is a place sanctified by the prayers of pilgrims."
- Officials in the nearby municipality of Kikol hope the monument will draw pilgrims and create jobs in one of the region's poorest municipalities, stimulating the local economy.
