The effects of the Gender Identity Act were analysed by the Commission for Citizenship and Equality but were not made public.
It seems, as the guardian minister has designated as “technical”, underlines that 2018 law, that PSD, CH and CDS want to withdraw, is aligned with international guidelines and standards and is more appropriate and respectful of human rights. And warn: cancellation can be inconstitutional.
The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport acknowledged this Wednesday the existence of a technical analysis of the draft laws on gender identity law and promised to send the document to Parliament until the end of the day.
Margarita Balseiro Lopes admitted that the Government had requested a study on the impact of the PSD, CDS and Chega legal projects, but admitted that the CIG had made a lecture on the projects.
The Commission's opinion on citizenship and gender equality analyzes the diplomas of PSD, CDS and Chega, which intend to repeal the law on gender self-determination.
