The Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) announced on Thursday the detention of a former British Embassy security officer in Moscow. The Russian authorities accuse him of working for Ukrainian intelligence services and that, during his diplomatic mission, he would have collected personal data on British diplomats, reports Reuters, according to Agerpres.
In the course of counter-intelligence activities, FSB officers exposed an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine, a citizen of Russia born in 1981, who was an employee of an organization providing security for the British Embassy in Moscow; he was detained and prosecuted under article 275 of the Criminal Code (State treason).
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) stated that the Kiev regime planned a terrorist attack against the British ambassador and diplomats in Moscow with the aim of drawing Britain directly into a war with Russia.
