The third vice president and minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Sara Aagesen, has warned that forest fires have already affected more than 186,000 hectares in Spain so far this year, compared to 33.360 in the same period of 2025, and has pointed out that 38 large forest fires have been recorded, compared to the twelve recorded a year ago.
