'The Elder Scrolls VI' Gets Official Title 'Sentinel'
The trailer shows sand physics and appears to confirm the game’s Hammerfell setting, after a report last week predicted both details.
On Tuesday, November 03, 2026, Bethesda Softworks revealed The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel in a video celebrating the studio's 40th anniversary. The announcement confirms the long-awaited RPG's official title.
This announcement arrives 15 years after the launch of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and eight years, four months, and 23 days since the initial teaser, marking an extraordinarily long development cycle.
The trailer confirms a setting in the Tamriel region of Hammerfell and features a quote attributed to Yazar, Moth Priest of High Queen Iradne: "Sands of time scattered by fate."
Xbox CEO Asha Sharma visited Bethesda in August to play the game, a visit occurring shortly after sweeping job cuts across Microsoft-owned studios as part of an organizational "reset."
Bethesda has not shared a release date for the game, though industry observers anticipate more information may surface during The Game Awards on December 10.
